Our Commitment to Digital Accessibility
AM Now Developers is committed to ensuring that our website and digital products are accessible to all users, including individuals with disabilities. We actively work toward conformance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
Applicable Accessibility Standards
Our website targets the following standards. As a federal technology contractor, accessible design is integral to everything we build — for our clients and for ourselves.
Section 508
We design and develop our digital properties to meet the requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, as amended, which mandates accessible electronic and information technology for federal agencies and contractors.
WCAG 2.1 Level AA
Our target conformance level is WCAG 2.1 Level AA, as established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This covers perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust criteria for accessible web content.
Ongoing Evaluation
We conduct periodic accessibility reviews using a combination of automated tooling and manual testing, including keyboard-only navigation and screen reader evaluation with NVDA and VoiceOver.
Accessibility Measures in Practice
Structural & Semantic Markup
All pages use semantic HTML5 elements with appropriate landmark roles (banner, main, navigation, contentinfo). Headings follow a logical document outline. Form fields have associated labels. Images carry descriptive alt attributes or are marked aria-hidden when decorative.
Keyboard & Focus Management
All interactive elements — navigation, forms, buttons, modals — are operable via keyboard alone. Focus indicators are visible and meet minimum contrast requirements. Modal dialogs trap focus appropriately and restore focus on close. Skip-to-content navigation is available at the top of each page.
Color Contrast
Text and UI components meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios: at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text and UI components. We do not use color as the sole means of conveying information.
Responsive & Reflow
Content reflows at 320 CSS pixels wide without horizontal scrolling, supporting users who rely on browser zoom up to 400%. All interactive targets meet minimum size requirements to support users with motor impairments.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some content on this site may not yet fully meet accessibility standards. We document known limitations below and are actively working to resolve them.
Insights Articles
Individual insight article pages are not yet published. Article teasers on the Insights index page link to placeholder destinations. Full article pages with proper accessible structure are in development.
Third-Party Content
Some embedded content from third-party services (including maps, forms, and analytics tools) may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. We work with vendors to improve accessibility and provide alternatives where possible.
PDF Documents
Uploaded resume and document files are user-submitted and may not be tagged for accessibility. We do not modify user-submitted documents. Where possible, we recommend applicants submit accessible PDFs created with modern authoring tools.
Video & Media
Any video content hosted on this site will include closed captions and a text transcript. New video content is reviewed against WCAG 2.1 Success Criteria 1.2 before publication.
